RAUHA is an acoustic light. Its specialty is a large acoustic surface, which also serves as a surface for indirect lighting. The light also offers a spotlight downwards. The acoustic surface of the lamp can be scaled according to need, so it is suitable for many types of spaces. The metal tube of the lamp is a nice detail that covers the light source well. The perforation of the tube distributes the light to the acoustic surface, creating wonderful lighting and atmosphere in the space.

DESIGN PROCESS
Benchmarking
We begin the design process by studying the market situation of the product under design. This comparison helps to understand the competitive situation of the product and helps to delimit the features of the concept.
Sketching
After the market research, the ideation and sketching phase begins. The sketching is usually done by hand. We like to consider many options and make a lot of drawings first and then narrow down the options to find the best idea concept.
3D modeling
We have excellent knowledge of the use of modeling programs and product drawings are created with the help of editable 3D models. In 3D modeling, the shapes and exact details of products, different components and materials can be precisely defined.
3D printing
Using 3D printing and a cardboard model, we wanted to investigate how the light is distributed on the surface of the lamp. By printing different versions, we were able to find out what the opening should be in order for the light to filter beautifully onto the acoustic surface.
Image rendering
Before a product really exists, we can create rendered images by 3D modeling and rendering the product concept. This way the customer can see how the finished product would look before the first prototype is created.
Production
Rauha acoustic light is made in Finland. The lamp shade is made from 100% recyclable PET material and the lamp body from recycled metal. Perforation of the metal part is done with a pipe laser. Rauha is perfectly suited to public spaces, work environments, retail spaces and restaurants.
